World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2024

The World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2024 is set to take place from December 1 to 7 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. This pivotal event will determine the final four teams that will secure their spots at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Fredericton, Canada.
Tournament Overview
A total of 29 teams from around the world are competing in this qualification event, divided into four groups for round-robin play. The event will be a high-stakes competition, as only the top two teams from each group will advance to the play-offs, where the final four qualifiers for the 2025 World Championship will be decided.
Qualification Process
- Round-robin play will run from December 1 to December 5, with each team facing off against every other team in their respective group.
- The top two teams from each of the four groups will progress to the play-offs on December 6 and 7, where the ultimate goal is to secure a place in the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship.
In addition to the qualification teams from this event, 16 teams have already earned their spots for the 2025 World Championship based on their performance in the 2024 World Mixed Doubles Championship. These include curling powerhouses such as Canada, Sweden, and the United States.
