Four Teams Secure Final Spots for 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship

The 20 spots for the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship have been filled, following the final four teams securing their places at the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2024 in Dumfries, Scotland, on Saturday, December 7.

Spain, New Zealand, Türkiye, and Finland all earned their spots for the event, which will be held in Fredericton, Canada, from April 26 to May 3, 2025. On Friday, December 6, New Zealand triumphed 9-7 over Latvia, while an undefeated Spain defeated Slovakia 7-5, claiming the first two spots for Fredericton.

On Saturday, December 8, Türkiye dominated Slovakia 15-3, while Finland secured their place after a thrilling extra end, defeating Latvia 9-6.

The 20 teams competing at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship are: Australia, Canada, China, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, and the United States.

This championship will serve as the final opportunity for Member Associations to earn Olympic Qualification Points for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
